There's nothing like the feel of November 1st. Many  people say that Christmas is officially here, others think the retailers are exploiting the public with overpriced goods and bad service, I consider it to be the most wonderful time of the year. Granted, wars are still being fought, crimes are still being committed but, for whatever reason, people are generally nicer, more giving and more pleasant at this time of year. The weather is cooler, stores play music of good cheer and lets face it, whether they want to admit it or not, holiday music brings good news or as I like to call it the gospel. Most Christmas music tells of the birth of Christ. Everyone hears the story of our savior! I think that is pretty amazing.
I've experienced the loss of a loved one, a nasty break-up, sickness and I've been broke a few times around this season. I've moved away from home and had to spend the holidays alone a couple of years but I must say, I would not trade in the feeling I get during this time for any other time of year. This truly is my favorite time of year.

So as I sit here and listen to Bing Crosby sing my favorite Christmas tunes on this fourth day of November, wishing it was 40 degrees outside. I will bask in the warmth of the sunshine and the nostalgia knowing that hearts around the world are beginning to soften and arms open up to loved ones because it truly is the season to be thankful and it is the most wonderful time of the year.

Please remember, the Ladies of Nobless Oblige are here to usher you into a relaxed atmosphere, contrary to the hustle and bustle of our everyday routines. We understand that. Consider this your formal invitation to come in, sit a while and experience the good life.
Sometimes it's better to be kind than to be right. We don't need an intelligent mind that speaks, but a kind heart that listens.

"My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this:  Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.
